Ingredients

  • 1 package Hawaiian Style Rolls
  • 12 slices deli ham thinly sliced
  • 12 slices cheese choose your favorite-cheddar, swiss, pepper jack
  • banana pepper optional
  • 6 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Dry Zesty Italian Dressing Mix

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Coat a sheet pan or 8"x11" baking dish with cooking spray. Slice the rolls in half, keeping all 12 together as much as possible. Place the bottom half of the rolls on the pan.
  • Layer the ham, banana peppers, and cheese on the rolls.
  • Place the tops of the rolls over the cheese.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the butter and Italian seasoning.
  • Brush the butter mixture over the tops of the rolls.
  • Cover the sandwiches with foil and bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Then uncover the rolls and bake for 3-5 minutes or until the tops are lightly browned.
  • Cut into individual sandwiches and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Sliders are a great way to use leftover ham from the holidays.
  • Assemble ahead of time, chill, and then bake just before serving.
  • Choose different hams for the sliders. Feel free to mix up the meats and the cheeses.
  • Add some jalapenos to the inside of the sliders.
  • Add some sliced turkey and bacon.
  • I found my sliders fit perfectly in an 8.5" x 11" baking dish. These will also work in a larger dish.
