Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 Tablespoons oil
  • 3 Tablespoons Chili Garlic Sauce less if desired (found in International section at the grocery store)
  • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoons Sriracha Hot Sauce less if desired
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan on the stove top over medium-low heat, saute garlic in oil over heat for about 2 minutes or until brown.
  • Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and set aside until ready to use.
  • Store any leftovers in an air-tight container or Mason jar for 3-5 days in the refrigerator.

Notes

This is a spicy bbq sauce. If you like a lot of spice, then you will love this sauce. If you are not sure about the heat, use less of the Chili Garlic Sauce and the Sriracha Hot Sauce. Taste as you go and you be the judge of the heat.
You can substitute ketchup for some of the Chili Garlic Sauce and the Sriracha.
If the sauce is too hot, add some more brown sugar, honey, or molasses to tone down the heat.
