Ingredients
1poundraw shelled peanuts
4tablespoonsmelted butter
1/4teaspoonsalt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
To a bowl, add peanuts and melted butter. Stir well to ensure all peanuts are evenly coated with the butter.
Pour onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer and place it into the oven.
After 15 minutes, remove the peanuts from the oven and give them a good stir. Return to the oven. Cook for 15 more minutes (See Notes Below) and give them another good stir. ** Optional--Then, return to the oven for 5 more minutes. This step is just for added color.
Remove from the oven and salt immediately. Let sit and cool for at least 15 minutes.
Notes
**Watch closely at the 20-minute mark. All ovens cook differently, and you don't want to burn your peanuts. I did cook mine for an additional 5 minutes for added color. You be the judge. If you are happy at the end of 30 minutes, then salt and allow to cool.** Start checking the peanuts at the 20-minute mark. I let mine go for 30 -35 minutes. Some people may not like them this dark, but I do. Again, you are the judge as to the doneness and color. The longer they cook, the more flavor they have-- in my opinion.
