Ingredients
1cupunsalted butter melted and cooled
1 1/4cupbrown sugarpacked
1/2cupsugar
1largeegg
1egg yolk
2teaspoonsvanilla extract
2 1/4cupsall purpose flour
1/2cupbaking cocoa
2teaspoonscornstarch
1teaspoonbaking powder
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspoonbaking soda
1cupwhite chocolate chips
1cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
1bagHershey's Kisses
Instructions
Combine your melted, cooled butter and sugars in a large bowl. Stir until well-combined.
Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. Stir well to combine.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and baking soda, breaking up any lumps.
Slowly add dry ingredients to wet, stirring until ingredients are well combined.
Stir in white and chocolate chips.
Chill the dough slightly for 20-25 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Drop cookie dough by rounded scoops onto cookie sheet. Use a cookie scoop for uniform cookies. I used a tablespoon scoop.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Cookies will be slightly underbaked in centers. Remove from oven and top each cookie with a chocolate kiss. Let them cool (8-10 minutes) on the baking pan. They will set up as they cool.
Cool completely on the pan before moving to a cooling rack.
Notes
I just used one bag of Hershey's Kisses. I left some of the cookies plain (without a kiss). If you plan to top them all with a "kiss" then you will need 2 bags.
