Easy (Spicy) Oven-Baked Barbecue Ribs

Easy (Spicy) Oven-Baked Barbecue Ribs are slathered in a slightly sticky sauce with a touch of heat. They are baked low and slow for fall-off-the-bone results—tender and juicy ribs with a touch of warmth that will melt in your mouth.

Ingredients

Ribs:

  • 5 pounds Pork Spareribs
  • salt, pepper, garlic powder, seasoning salt, lemon pepper season as desired

Sauce:

  • ½ cup barbecue sauce your favorite store bought brand
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce optional, add more if you like it spicy
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic I like to use the jarred minced garlic. (found in the produce dept.)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with foil.
  • Season both sides of the ribs with seasonings. Place ribs in the prepared pan meat side up. Cover completely with foil. Place into a 300-degree oven for 1 hour.
  • After an hour, increase the oven temperature to 325 degrees. Continue to cook for another hour.
  • Make the sauce. Mix all ingredients to apply to the ribs.
  • Uncover and sauce ribs. Place back into the oven uncovered at 325 degrees for 45 min to an hour. Sauce again before serving if so desired.
