Divide the meat into 6-8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball. Flatten into a 1" patty, making an indentation in the center.
Place patties on a plate/tray covered with plastic wrap into the refrigerator until ready to grill.
Grill patties for 4-6 minutes on each side (or longer) or until you reach desired doneness. The time depends on your method of cooking, the size of the patties, the heat of the grill, and the type of grill you are cooking on. Note: Do not press burgers as you flip.

Use cold ground beef for easier handling.
Make patties slightly larger than the buns since they will shrink during cooking.
Create an indentation in the center of each burger to help them cook evenly.
