Brown the Meat. Brown the ground beef, sausage, and onion together in a deep soup pot, and drain.
Add other ingredients. Add the remaining ingredients (except the cheese). Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.
Simmer. Let simmer 30-45 minutes.
Serve. Ladle into bowls and top with shredded cheese, sour cream, corn chips, or your favorite toppings. This is where you can make each bowl your own!
