Recipe Tips
Cool the crust completely before adding the filling.
Chill the cheesecake for several hours or overnight before serving so the filling can fully set. It's refreshing served cold.
Make sure the cream cheese is softened before mixing.
Fresh strawberries and blueberries make beautiful garnishes.
Pipe whipped topping around the edges for a bakery-style finish.
If decorating the cheesecake like a flag, use blueberry pie filling in the upper corner and strawberry pie filling for the stripes, leaving small sections of the white cheesecake showing through.
If you're not creating the patriotic flag design and prefer to cover the entire cheesecake with a single pie filling flavor, plan to use 2 cans of either strawberry or blueberry pie filling.
