American Flag Cheesecake (Easy Red, White, and Blue Dessert)
This Red, White, and Blue Cheesecake combines a creamy cheesecake filling with strawberry and blueberry pie fillings for an easy American Flag Cheesecake that’s perfect for Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, and all your summer gatherings.

One of the things I love most about summer is the memories it brings. My family planned most of our childhood vacations around the Fourth of July, and looking back now, it wasn’t about fancy vacations or perfect plans; it was simply about being together, making memories, and celebrating the simple joys of summer.
That’s exactly what this patriotic cheesecake reminds me of. It’s simple, nostalgic, and perfect for sharing with family and friends during summer celebrations. Just like my Banana Pudding Dessert and Strawberry Cheesecake Bars Recipe, my Bomb Pop Popsicles are always a hit with the crowds.

Ingredients You’ll Need
This easy cheesecake recipe comes together with simple ingredients and minimal effort.

- Graham Crackers: A graham cracker crust is the base for this creamy dessert. It only needs about 10 minutes in the oven.
- Butter: I use salted butter for this recipe. Unsalted will also work. Butter binds the graham cracker crumbs together and helps create a sturdy crust.
- Sugar: Just a little sugar is needed to sweeten the crust.
- Cream Cheese: Your cream cheese should be soft and at room temperature before mixing to give the cheesecake its rich, smooth, and creamy texture.
- Confectioner’s Sugar: The confectioner’s sugar sweetens the filling and gives it a silky consistency. This is also called powdered sugar.
- Cool Whip: Cool Whip lightens the filling, creating a fluffy texture.
- Vanilla: Add warmth and depth.
- Pie Filling: Use blueberry pie filling for the background for the stars and strawberry pie filling for the American flag stripes.
- Star Sprinkles: These are optional, but they make the cheesecake sparkle a bit. I found my stars mixed in a pack of variety sprinkles. I just picked out what I needed.
- Fresh Fruit: I like to add some fresh blueberries and strawberries for a finishing touch. This step is optional.

Step 1: Prepare the crust. Combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press the mixture firmly into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Allow the crust to cool completely.

Step 2: Make the Cheesecake Filling. Using an electric mixer, beat the softened cream cheese, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Fold In Topping: Fold in the whipped topping and mix until well combined.

Step 4: Assemble the Cheesecake. Carefully spread the cream cheese mixture over the crust. Be careful not to disturb the crust too much.

How to Store this Flag Cheesecake
I usually store this cheesecake dessert covered in the fridge for several days.
Recipe FAQs
Absolutely. This is one of the best make-ahead desserts: it needs time to chill before serving and tastes even better when made a day ahead, as the filling has plenty of time to set.
The crust for this cheesecake recipe is baked for about 10 minutes. The filling is creamed together and added to the top. A baked cheesecake usually contains eggs and needs a water bath.
The toppings are endless. This is a personal preference, but a few of my favorites are: fresh fruit and berries, graham cracker crumbs, chocolate drizzle, salted caramel, and whipped topping.
