These Strawberry Cheesecake Bars have a deliciously sweet glaze that sits on top of a rich and creamy center and has the most wonderful buttery crust. Ingredients

2 sleeves graham crackers, finely crushed
½ cup butter
⅓ cup sugar
16 ounces cream cheese, softened 2 (8oz. packages)
1 ½ cups confectioners sugar
16 ounce Cool Whip
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cans Strawberry Pie Filling or Homemade Strawberry Pie Filling

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
For the Crust: Combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl and mix well.
Transfer to a 13" X 9" baking dish and press down firmly to form the crust.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 -15 minutes or until lightly brown. Set aside to cool completely.
For the Cheesecake: Using a mixer, beat together the cream cheese, confectioners sugar, and vanilla.
Fold in the whipped topping and mix until well combined.
Carefully spread the cream cheese mixture over the crust. Be careful not to disturb the crust too much.
Spread Pie Filling over the top of the cream cheese layer. Don't be stingy with the topping. Make it thick!
Cover and refrigerate for several hours.

Notes

Recipe Tips

Bring cream cheese to room temperature. Softened cream cheese will ensure a creamy filling.
Cool the crust completely before adding the filling.
Place in the refrigerator and chill for several hours or overnight before serving.
