Roasted Cabbage Steaks are baked, soft, buttery, and have crispy edges. They are easy and delicious and the perfect side dish. It only takes minutes to prep and is excellent with just about anything.
Preheat your oven. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper, or foil sprayed with nonstick spray.
Prep the Cabbage. Rinse the head of cabbage, then remove the core and some of the outer edges or leaves. Slice into 3/4" to 1" slices, leaving it intact.
Season: Place cabbage on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Brush to cover cabbage evenly.
Bake. Place cabbage steaks in the oven and bake at 400°F for 40 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the edges are slightly crispy. The cooking times will depend on how thick you cut your slices. Add butter to the top of the hot cabbage.

Tips
Line the baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the cabbage slices from sticking.
Completely cover each slice with oil and seasonings so each bite is flavorful.
If the size of your cabbage is large, you may need two baking sheets, or save the other half for another time.
