Simple Fall Mantel Decorating
Welcome in the changing seasons and holidays by transforming your mantel into a focal point. Pull out a fall wreath, flowers, candles, and a banner and let your creativity take over.
There are so many beautiful ways to decorate your home for the fall. My favorite place to decorate is the mantel. The mantel is always the first thing that catches my eye and in most homes they are the focal point in that room.
There are endless possibilities for decorating a mantel. If you are looking for a way to brighten up the inside of your home and welcome each new season, then the mantel is the perfect place to start. You can go from fancy to farmhouse, from Halloween to Thanksgiving, and from Thanksgiving to Christmas with just a few photos, wreaths, baskets, and candles swapped out with each changing season.
I just spent the weekend with my sister and she had the cutest mantel. (We have similar taste when it comes to decorating). She definitely had the fall theme going on not just with her mantel but also a few other places as well.
She has beautiful blue walls throughout her home. These walls are a perfect background canvas for bringing in bright colors for each season. My sister used the traditional fall colors for her mantel; orange, brown, and beige. The burlap banner “BOO” set off her Halloween theme.

I love to use old windows in decorating projects. There are so many things you can do with large windows. My sister used this window as her signature piece for decorating her mantel. It looks great and is the perfect place to hang her fall wreath.
Don’t be afraid to use what you have at home
Don’t be afraid to pull items from other rooms in your home to help decorate your mantel. I always try to use what I have on hand first before I go out and buy something new.
The warm textures and colors she used on her mantel make the room feel warm and cozy. All she needs now is a cup of hot chocolate and a fire.
What are some ways you enjoy decorating your mantel?
I also found this pretty arrangement in another room of her house. It’s too pretty not to share.
