Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Everyone

With Christmas only a few weeks away, it’s time for us to finish that shopping and wrap those gifts. I’m sure you have already bought the big items, and now it’s time to add those finishing touches.

Growing up, I had a sock for a stocking. On Christmas Eve, my siblings and I would pull out all of our socks and start going through them to find the perfect one for our Christmas stocking. We would all try to find the longest sock in the pile and, of course, different colors so they wouldn’t get mixed up. We would carefully lay them out next to our “spot” where Santa would drop off our presents, and we would go to bed and dream about all of the toys Santa would leave for us.

The next morning, we would be up before daylight to check out our surprises. Oh, the toys and the complete chaos of all of us so excited over everything Santa had left for us. I will forever cherish those memories and the most magical time of the year!

My stocking was always filled and placed right next to my toys. I always loved my stocking. It was that sock filled with goodies, fruit, nuts, snacks, and some surprises that seemed to bring a smile to my face. Today, many years later, my parents still have me a stocking on Christmas morning.

I have carried on this tradition with my family and children. And they love it. I hope they will carry on this tradition with their families as well.

So, what do you add to those stockings hung by the chimney with care? Trying to come up with items to put in each stocking can be challenging, so I have listed several items to help. Of course, you can also add some of your ideas to the list. This is only a starter list–so add your family favorites.
