Ham & Cheese Pinwheels

I was a little short on time preparing for a Christmas party this year. I know most people enjoy pinwheels, so I decided to make them. I already had the crescent rolls, ham, and cheddar cheese in my refrigerator. I had just picked up some crescent rolls from the grocery store, but these were not the original rolls–these were Sweet Hawaiian Crescents. Oh. My. Goodness. If you have not tried these yet–go today and get some. These are amazing!

The sweetness from the crescent rolls goes perfectly with the ham and the melted cheese.
I used cheddar cheese slices because this is what I had on hand, but you use whatever you prefer.

How To Make the Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

Roll out the crescent dough and pinch all of the seams together. Place sliced ham on top of the dough. Then top with the sliced cheese. Start with the longest end and roll tightly. Cut into 3/4″ slices. Place on a greased sheet pan and pop into the oven. Bake for about 25 minutes on 350 degrees or until golden brown. Serve with Dijon Mustard. Simple and delicious.

These are so easy to make and can be made in a flash when you have unexpected company, for a ball game, a party, or just to snack on for movie night.

Tip: You need to make a double batch because these go fast. I bet you have everything you need to make some right now!

What you will need for Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

Ingredients Needed:

Crescent dough
Sliced Ham
Sliced Cheese
Dijon Mustard–optional

Crescent Rolls–Canned crescent rolls make this recipe super easy. I have used Original and Sweet Hawaiian for this appetizer and they have both worked well. Sweet Hawaiian is delicious when used with the Ham and Cheese Pinwheels.

Ham–Use good quality sliced ham for this recipe. The deli at my local grocery store has the best I can get. Check out your deli for sliced ham, or look for good quality ham in the refrigerated section.

Cheese–I prefer cheddar cheese for this recipe, but any melty cheese will work. Feel free to experiment with this recipe. Use your favorite!
