Baked Pepperoni Dip
Ooey, gooey, baked cheesy pepperoni dip is an easy appetizer that comes together fast and is perfect for a party. This dip will easily feed a crowd and always gets two thumbs up. If you are looking for a different kind of dip and want to try something new– this may be your answer. I know it’s a new favorite at my house.
It’s the holiday season which means parties, get-togethers with family, and lots of entertaining. And with that in mind, there is always food. So last night, I needed a dip, and I was looking for something fast and easy to put together. This dip came to mind and was a total hit at the party.
You only need just a handful of ingredients, and most of these are probably in your refrigerator and pantry. You can also change them up a bit to your liking by omitting or adding as you so desire. It’s not heavy, and it’s full of flavor.
Ingredients Needed
Cheese
Mayonnaise
Pepperoni
Mushrooms
Black Olives
Onion
How to Make Cheesy Baked Pepperoni Dip
I usually use pre-shredded cheese for this recipe. It’s fast, and some of the work is already done for me. The mayonnaise keeps this dip from being too heavy. I use full-fat mayonnaise–the fat-free or low-calorie never make it to my house. 🙂 I chop the pepperoni and onion and open up the cans of mushrooms and black olives. Seriously, that’s about it! Just mix and bake. Done!
Can I Make this Dip in Advance?
Yes, you most certainly can!
I knew I would be short on time right before the party, so I mixed all of the ingredients that morning before leaving for work. I mixed everything in a medium bowl, covered the bowl with plastic wrap, and placed it into the refrigerator. When I was ready to bake, I pulled it out of the fridge, put it into a baking dish, and baked it for 30 minutes. So easy.
Tips and Variations for Pepperoni Dip
→Make this dip ahead of time. Mix all ingredients and store in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
→Change up the ingredients. Add more pepperoni, leave out the mushrooms, add green olives, etc. You can make this dip to your liking.
→Serve with crackers, sliced bread, breadsticks, or veggies.
→Add some cooked sausage to the recipe.
→Swap out the cheeses. Use different varieties.
→Shred your cheese instead of using pre-shredded cheese.
Got Leftovers?
You probably won’t, but if you do, store them in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for about 2 days. Reheat in the microwave.
