FAQs

How do you prevent ice crystals in no-churn ice cream?

Sweetened condensed milk sweetens the ice cream and provides a smooth, super creamy texture. It has a high sugar content, which lowers the freezing point, and doesn’t have the excess moisture from whole milk.

What is the difference between churn and no-churn ice cream?

Churned ice cream is usually made with an old fashioned ice cream maker. The churning process mixes the ingredients to form light, fluffy ice cream.
No churn ice cream does not require an ice cream maker or churn. The ingredients are mixed and placed into the freezer for a few hours, and the ice cream is smooth and creamy.
