What Do I Need To Make Sea Salted Caramel Chocolate Fudge?

As I said before, this is the easiest fudge to make. This is my go-to recipe when I am in the mood to make a batch. The only hard part of making this fudge is waiting on it to cool and set.

Ingredients For Sea Salted Caramel Chocolate Fudge

Brown Sugar
Sugar
Evaporated milk
Butter
Marshmallow cream
Sea Salted Caramel Baking Chips
Milk Chocolate Chips
Vanilla
Nuts–optional

Evaporated Milk— You will be using the whole can of evaporated milk. Don’t try the low fat–go for the real deal here.

Baking Chips— Use good quality baking chips. I typically use Milk Chocolate chips and Peanut Butter chips. Chocolate and peanut butter just make for the best combination. You can read more about that with my Peanut Butter Balls. But feel free to swap up the chips if you like. White Chocolate, Semi-sweet, sea-salted caramel, or even dark chocolate will work. For this recipe, I used Sea Salted Caramel, and it was fabulous! I found these chips in the baking aisle one day, and had to try them. So glad I did! 🙂

Butter–I always use real butter when I cook. It just tastes better. Yes, real butter is more expensive, but it is worth it to me.

Marshmallow Cream— I love this stuff. It is like eating a cloud of sweetened goodness! There is just something magical that happens when you add marshmallow cream to a recipe.

Nuts–Do I Add Nuts To This Recipe? Yes or No?
Nuts are optional in this recipe. If I am giving it away, I leave the nuts out. My daughter is also a NO nut eater. So if I am making a batch for the house, I leave the nuts out. Personally, if I am making a batch for myself–I add the nuts. I am a nut eater, and I like the crunch and the taste of a few pecans in my fudge.

Instructions For Making Sea Salted Caramel Fudge

Combine brown sugar, sugar, evaporated milk, and butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring continuously. Boil for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and add marshmallow cream and chip morsels. Stir until smooth. Stir in vanilla and nuts if desired. Pour into a foil-lined and sprayed 9 X 9 pan. Allow fudge to set and cool. I usually pop it into the refrigerator for a few hours or so. Cut into desired pieces. I keep it stored in a covered container in the fridge.

I used a 9 X 9 pan. I lined my pan with non-stick foil and then sprayed the foil with a non-stick spray. I didn’t want to take any chances here. You can use parchment paper–I didn’t have any at the time. Also, you can use a longer pan if you wish. My pan made thicker pieces of fudge, so I cut these pieces into small squares. It is a very rich-tasting dessert, so a little goes a long way.

Tips for Making Homemade Easy Sea Salted Caramel Fudge

Before you start making the fudge, get all of your ingredients ready.
Line a pan with parchment paper or non-stick foil. This will make it easier to get out of the pan to cut, serve, and store in another container.
Start by melting sugars, evaporated milk, and butter in a saucepan. Stir continuously during this process.
Once everything is mixed, pour into the pan and place into the refrigerator for several hours to set.
Slice into small squares. This is a very rich dessert, so a little goes a long way.

Choose Your Favorite Baking Chips

You can swap up the chocolate chips in this recipe. You might try semi-sweet chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, or even sea salted caramel chips. I have used all of these baking chips, and the fudge has turned out perfect.

A Perfect Edible Gift

I have been making this fudge for years. It is by far the best tasting and the easiest fudge to make. I like to make it year-round. Need a birthday gift, anniversary, or Christmas gift? Make some fudge. Just wrap it in a pretty gift bag and give it away. It’s not just for Christmas. It’s great year-round.

How To Store Fudge

Store fudge in an air-tight container in the refrigerator or in a cool place on the counter. Personally, I like to store it in the fridge. I like cold fudge.

It’s almost unfair for a recipe to have the words salt, caramel and chocolate side by side. How could I NOT make that? I haven’t made much fudge, but this sea salted caramel chocolate fudge looks so delicious. I can’t wait to make it for me and my family! Thank you!

This dessert is so decadent and delicious, in Mexico most people like to dip toasted white bread in caramel sauce. And let me tell you its divine.
