How to Cut a Mango for this Recipe

Tips for cutting a mango:

Remove all of the fresh fruit from the cheeks of the mango. What are mango cheeks? Mangos have an oblong pit that runs through the center. The flesh on both sides of the mango is called cheeks.

Place the mango upright on the cutting board.

Run your knife down the mango on both sides along the pit.

Trim around the pit for more fruit.

Place the mango fruit side up on the cutting board, run a knife through the fruit, and stop when you reach the skin. Slice both ways diagonally.

Invert and slice off the cubes.

Tips for the Best Peach Salsa

*The key to good salsa is to chop the fruits and vegetables into small

  bites.

*I used yellow bell pepper, but feel free to use any color.

*If you don’t like spice, leave out the jalapeno. However, I did remove the

seeds to cut the heat just a bit.

*Add a pinch or two of salt. It brings out the flavor of the mango.

*The liquid will gather from the fruit and tomatoes at the bottom of the

bowl. Drain before serving, or add a slotted spoon to the bowl.

*Use fresh fruit and vegetables.

*If you can’t find fresh mango, use frozen.

The flavors of the peach, mango, and tomato pair well with the fresh lime juice and cilantro. The combination is a little strange, but trust me, the fruits and vegetables complement each other. This makes a nice bowl of sweet, tangy, and spicy salsa that gets tastier with every bite.

This Peach Mango Tomato Salsa is so incredible and versatile. It’s also a great way to use seasonal fruits and vegetables. So, if you want something flavorful and a little different, you should try this salsa. It’s easy, healthy, and delicious.

What Should I Serve with Mango Salsa

This salsa works great as a side dish or for topping tacos. It’s also great served with:

Fried Pork Chops

BBQ Ribs

Grilled Chicken

Hamburgers

Fish

One of my favorite ways to eat this fresh salsa is with tortilla chips. Yep, just keeping it simple.

Recipe FAQs

This fresh salsa will last for 3-4 days in the refrigerator. Store in an air-tight container.

Mango Salsa combines the sweetness from the fruits and a little heat from the jalapeno. As a result, it is not overly spicy and has just the right combination of freshness to heat.
