Bacon Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole

This was a hit with my family and makes a bunch. I used a 13″X 9″ casserole dish, and we had plenty of leftovers for another night. This is good comfort food for any night of the week.

How to Make Tater Tot Casserole

This recipe takes about 15 minutes of prep work before it can be assembled to go into the oven.

  • Brown ground beef and onion together until no longer pink. Drain.
  • In a large bowl, add meat and onion, cheese soup, shredded cheese, sour cream, bacon, and tater tots. Stir until mixed thoroughly.
  • Pour mixture into a 13″ x 9″ casserole dish.
  • Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until Tater Tots are brown.
  • Top as desired.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 10.75 oz. can Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 16 oz. container sour cream
  • 3/4 cup bacon bits or crumbled bacon I used Oscar Mayer Real Bacon Pieces
  • 32 ounce bag Frozen Tater Tots

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Spray a 9" x 13" baking dish with non stick baking spray. Set aside.
  • Brown ground beef and onion together until no longer pink. Drain.
  • Add meat and onion, cheese soup, shredded cheese, sour cream, bacon, and tater tots in a large bowl. Stir until mixed thoroughly.
  • Pour mixture into prepared casserole dish.
