Jalapeno Popper Dip with Bacon
If you are looking for a wonderful appetizer for the holidays, football games, or parties, then look no further. This is a delicious Jalapeno Popper Dip with bacon, melted cheese, fresh jalapenos, and a buttery cracker crumb topping. A dip that is sure to impress everyone.
Jalapeno Poppers are a huge weakness of mine, and I can’t resist them. I’ve made Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Jalapeno Poppers and Cheesy Jalapenos. So I took the ingredients and flavors from the poppers and baked them into a delightful creamy dip that is irresistible. Add some tortilla chips, and you’ve got an appetizer ready for all occasions.
My children grew up eating good food and blowing out flames in the same bite. I’ve always cooked with a bit of spice, and my children just got used to it. Now, they expect most dishes to have lots of flavors and a little kick.
Jalapeno Dip is no exception. This dip has tons of flavor and a little heat. Now, if you like it HOT, leave the seeds in the peppers. Personally, I like the flavors over the heat in this dish. Plus, if you are serving it to a crowd, you might want to go easy on them.
Ingredients Needed for Jalapeno Popper Dip
Just a few simple ingredients mixed and baked for a delightful snack.
Bacon— Need I say more? I can eat my weight in bacon.
Cream Cheese–the base of this dish. I mean, if it has cream cheese in it, then it has to be good.
Jalapenos— Use fresh if you have them. If not, canned will work.
Sour Cream— Gives this dish a bit of tangy goodness.
Cheese— Gooey and melted cheese– choose your favorite or mix it up.
Ritz Crackers— Buttery crackers add a little topping to this dip.
Butter–Helps to make the crackers crispy.
Seasonings— I like to add garlic powder and pepper to give it a little more flavor.

Best Tips for the Best Popper Dip
*This dip has a lot of kick and flavor but is not too hot. If you really like the heat, leave in the seeds.
*Feel free to choose your favorite cheeses for this dish.
*Allow cream cheese to come to room temperature before mixing. This will make it softer and blendable.
*Add cooked and crispy bacon for added flavor.
*I prefer to use fresh jalapenos, but canned jalapenos will also work.
*Always wear gloves when chopping fresh jalapenos. Believe me; you don’t want to get the jalapeno oil and juices on your skin. The burn is real.

Can I Use Different Cheeses for this Dip?
Yes, of course! Feel free to swap out the shredded cheeses for this dip. I like to use Mozzarella, Cheddar, Pepper Jack, Colby, and whatever I can pull out of the fridge.
Can I Reheat Jalapeno Dip?
Yes, you can! To reheat this dip, you can simply toss it back into the oven or portion out what you would like and throw it in the microwave.
