9 Southern Desserts for Thanksgiving

Yes, Thanksgiving has arrived. Finally, the day you have been waiting on all year long. Roasted turkey, Chicken & Dressing, Sweet Potato Casserole— all spectacular dishes and super delicious. But, where’s the dessert?

We all know we save just a little bit of room for a dessert or two. And for some, it’s the real showstopper of the day. Before dinner, I walk around the dessert table and note how many of those sweet treats I might indulge in at the end of my meal.

In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with too many Southern Desserts on Thanksgiving day. I usually have to try just a little bit of everyone’s fabulous sweets, you know, so I don’t hurt any feelings. 🙂

I’ve listed a few of our family favorites to enjoy this holiday season. Some are traditional, and some just always seem to show up on every occasion. Of course, you can’t be wrong with any dessert for any gathering as long as you all love it. Plus, tuck a few back for breakfast the next day! Oh, yes!
