Fajitas are a favorite for my family, and when I am looking for something quick, or I am not sure what to cook for dinner, some kind of Mexican dish usually ends up on the table.

This dish works great with any kind/color of pepper, so use what you like and have on hand. You can certainly brighten up the recipe by throwing some green, yellow, orange, or red peppers in the mix. Again, use what you have. This is what makes this dish easy to prepare and gets dinner on the table fast!

The Taco Seasoning is packed full of flavor and it’s all in one package. Feel free to open up your spice cabinet and use what seasonings you desire.

This dish will not disappoint. Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas are awesome, and the clean up is too! One pan is all you need to cook this dish and one pan to clean up when dinner is done!! If you line your pan with foil, the clean up is even easier.

These are quick and easy to make with just a few ingredients.
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
 Bell Peppers–any color, sliced
 onions
taco seasoning
olive oil

How to Make this Recipe

*Line a sheet pan with foil for easy cleanup.
*Spray with nonstick spray.
*Slice onions–add to pan.
*Slice peppers–add to pan.
*Chop chicken–add to pan.
*Drizzle with olive oil.
*Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons taco seasoning.
*Toss to coat evenly.
*Place in the oven at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until chicken is done and veggies are soft.

Recipe Tips and Variations

Add other vegetables such as zucchini, mushrooms, or jalapenos.

Sometimes, I just eat it with tortilla chips and skip the wrap altogether. It’s entirely up to you!

Swap out the taco seasoning for fajita seasoning.

Swap out the chicken for shrimp or steak.

Feel free to add whatever toppings you like. We usually add lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, salsa and sour cream to top our fajitas.

Line your pan with foil and it will make clean up a lot easier.

Recipe FAQ’s

Both of these seasonings have similar ingredients and can be substituted if desired. They both have great flavor and will add the perfect seasonings to a dish.

Chicken or Steak is the best for making fajitas. A skirt steak is more of the traditional beef for fajitas, but flank steak and chicken will also work nicely.

Toppings for a Fajita

The choice is really up to you and what you like. Traditionally, people like to top fajitas with cheese, salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. 

Other toppings might include: guacamole, avocados, shredded carrots and cabbage, diced jalapenos.

Serve with flour tortillas and salsa. Top with cheese and your favorite toppings.
Serve refried beans and rice as a side dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast sliced or cut into chunks
  • 2 Bell Peppers sliced, any color
  • 2 Onions sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Taco seasoning
  • olive oil to drizzle over top

Instructions
 

  • Line a sheet pan with foil for easy clean up. Spray with nonstick spray.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Slice or chop chicken into chunks and place on pan.
  • Slice bell peppers and place on pan.
  • Slice onions and place on pan.
  • Drizzle with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle taco seasoning over the top of the chicken and vegetables. Toss to evenly coat.
  • Place in the oven and bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until chicken is done and vegetables are tender.
